3215 Bell Arthur Road Cemetery

 

Location:

 

Bell Arthur Road. Coming from Bell Arthur toward 264A, about 30 yards past Frog Level Road on the left side, upon a hill.

 

The Hemby Home place is located across the road from the cemetery.

Polly, wife of Ames Moore, died November 23, 1905, Aged 80 yrs.

 

Arrea, wife of I.F. Crawford, born November 8, 1867, died March 6, 1902.

 

Carlia L. Phillips, born September 15, 1887, died June 18, 1901 –

Gone but not forgotten.

 

Infant of S. & L. Nichols - At rest - No dates.

 

Mary, daughter of S & L. Nichols, born September 28, 1887, died May 27, 1888 –

Asleep in Jesus.

 

Alfred, son of S. & L. Nichols, born January 24, 1872, died October 18, 1890.

 

Benjamin son of S. & L. Nicholas, born December 18, 1875, died April 3, 1903.

 

Silas Nichols, born June 17, 1840, died September 18, 1908.

 

Here lies a fallen tree. There were no stones detected visually. The land slopes greatly and has washed away over the years, but I do not believe it has disturbed any stones. Several are leaning over toward the swamp.

He was faithful to every duty.

Tomb - it has been incased by brick and cement. No name, dates or inscription.

Resting in peace.

 

Nelson Nichols, born September 14, 1831, died January, 1902 –

This cemetery has been cleaned and maintained by Mr. Ron Kemp and his mother Mrs. Janice Hemby Kemp.

 

They are in the process of asking the local Boy Scouts to help them with any fuiture clean up projects.

 

 I feel the Kemps should be applauded for the care they have given to this resting place .
