The Division of the lands of Arnold Hopkins dec'd.
In obedience to an order of Pitt County Court May Term 1823 to us directed as commissioners appointed to divide
and allot & partition all the lands of Arnold Hopkins deceased among the lawful heirs of said dec'd we have met on
the premises accordingly and find agreeable (?) to the Surveyors Plot 409½ acres which we have divided and set
apart in Seven Lots as follows VIZ Lot No.1 drawn by Tabitha Hopkins containing 51½ acres Valued @ $110
Bounded as follows Beginning at a Black Gum in the run of Coneto Creek Elisha Porter's corner thence down
the said creek 45 poles is a black Gum thence South 206 poles to three water oaks in said Porter's (?) thu line
thence No. 54½ E to an old red oak and pine said Porter's corner thence with said Porter's line to the first Station
and receives from Martha Hopkins $12.75 cts. No.2 drawn by Nancy Hopkins containing 53 acres Valued at
$80 Beginning at three water oaks thence So. 64½ W 62½ poles to a pine said Porter's (?) thu corner thence No.
42 E227 poles to Coneto Creek to three small gums thence up the said creek to a black gum Tabitha Hopkins corner
thence So. 206 pole with Tabitha Hopkins line to the first Station and receives from Litha Hopkins $42.75 cts. No.3

at a red oak in Nancy Hopkins line thence No. 4½ East 60 poles to a black gum thence No. 63½ W 167 pole to a pawpaw

#2 53 acres to Nancy Hopkins m. Josiah Ellinor as his 2nd wife.
(sells to Elisha Porter DB HH p139, Elisha sells
to Frederick Hopkins DB KK p58).
#3 86 acres to Whitmell Hopkins m. Sidney Barnhill (sells part to
Levi Leigh DB F p127, & part to Godfrey Stancil DB F p79;
Then Levi sells his part to Frederick Hopkins).

#5 55 acres to Mary Hopkins m. m. Levi Leigh (they sell 103 acres DB MM
p47 to Frederick Hopkins 31 May 1847: this is Lot #4 and ½ of
Lot #3).

(sells to Littleberry Worsley DB M-E pp45-49 Jan 1873).
#7 56 acres to Elizabeth (Hopkins) Mayo m. John MAYO as his 3rd wife (sells to
Frederick Hopkins DB CC p345-346 November 1823).

Frederick Hopkins eventually bought Lot numbers: 1,2, ½ of 3, 4 & 7.
