This indenture made and entered into this the sixth day of February one thousand Eight Hundred and thirty seven between
Josiah ELLINOR his wife Nancy ELLINOR of the county of Edgecombe and state of North Carolina of the one part and
Elisha PORTER of the county of Pitt and state aforesaid of the other part Wittnesseth that for and in consideration of the
sum of Eighty Two Dollars to we the said Elenor and wife in hand paid by the aforesaid Elisha Porter the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged hath given granted and sold and by these presents do give grant bargain sell enfeoff & confirm unto
him the aforesaid Elisha Porter to him his heirs executors Administrators and assignees one certain tract or parcel of land lying
and being in the county of Pitt and on Coneto Creek butted and bounded as follows Beginning at three water oaks thence
So 64½ No 62½ poles to a pine said Porter's other corner thence No 4½ East 227 poles to Coneto Creek to three small gums
thence up the s'd creek to a black gum the s'd Porter's corner thence So 206 pole with said Porter's line to the first Station
containing by estimation fifty three acres be the same more or less To have and to hold unto him the aforesaid Elisha Porter
to him and his heirs forever and we the aforesaid Josiah Ellinor and wife Nancy do covenant and agree to and with the
aforesaid Elisha Porter him his heirs Executors Admr's & assignees forever to warrant and forever defend the aforesaid described
lands against the lawful claim or claims of any and all Persons whatsoever in Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands
and affixed our seals the day and date above written

named Nancy Ellinor, relative to her examination of the within deed proceeded inn open court to examine her she being separate
and apart from her Husband when she the said Nancy Ellinor acknowledged and said that she executed the said deed freely
and of her own accord, without any control or compulsion from her said husband -----

This is Lot No 2 drawn by Nancy HOPKINS ELLINOR when her father Arnold Hopkins died. This same land was later sold
by Elisha Porter to Frederick Hopkins.
