Edsel Wibbels heard in 1990 that his great-grandparents and their two daughters (Kasselder/Kesselder) were buried in a cemetery near Cedar Rapids. After seeing the "jungle" and poison ivy all through it, he decided to restore it. The tombstones are not in any formation - little groups all over a space about the size of a football field. They face all directions. Some tombstones were knocked over by cattle; others were damaged or buried during a tornado. He found some by poking a potato fork in the ground and then dug them up. He purchased metal pieces and had them engraved with the name etc. of each person, as many of the tombstones were so worn and glued them on. He puts Thompson sealer on each of the tombstones each summer to try to preserve them. He and his wife, Catherine worked very hard to make out many of the names and numbers on quite a few. This listing appears courtesy of the Wibbels. If you find your ancestors in this list, they invite you to drop them a note.
