of great importance to our people. A good flouring mill is a boon to any community, and this we have in the Cedar Rapids mill, superintended by C. A. Snook, a practical and thoroughly competent miller. His knowledge in the milling business, coupled with the latest and most modern improved processes for manufacturing good flour, form a strong combination, the benefit of which is to all those who use the product of these mills. They make only the best brand of flour. Had we the space we might print the testimonials of a thousand housewives who have used their flour, and have naught but words of praise for it.

E. W. Bishop writes insurance in both mutual and old line companies, and is a special agent for the Singer Sewing Machine company. Mr. Bishop has lived here for twenty-two years, having during that time done much to build up this section of Boone County.
