Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Lodge a son, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Norfolk, Sat., Sept. 12.

"Ted Thiem Back With Omaha After Good Record For Tulsa
     Ted Thiem played this season with the Tulsa Oilers, a St. Louis Cardinal farm team, in the Texas League. His pitching record was good, with 13 wins and 9 losses.
      He was with Omaha early in the season and about two weeks ago was returned to the Omaha Cardinal roster."

"Three Local Men Injured In Car Wreck"

Joe Wirges, Jr., Mel Pelster and Walter Temme,
are recovering, after sustaining severe injuries in a one-car mishap about midnight Saturday night."
Wirges and Pelster still at the Neligh Hospital. Temme was released Wed.

CONFIRMATION

A class of 93 children and several adults were confirmed at St. John's Church here Mon.aft., by Archbishop Gerald T. Bergan. who noted this is the first confirmation class in the new church.
Assisting - Rev. Albert Sudbeck, pastor, Very Rev. F. Werthman of Albion, Rev. T. H. Buebt and Rev. McNally of Elgin, and Rev. Phillip Kvasnicka.
