The County Clerks office is the home for Marriage, Divorce, Military, and probate records. Delayed Birth Records can be found at the Knight Museum office or in the State office. Address your requests to the County Clerk as they are the ones that can help the most. Fee for Certified copy - $4.00, .50 plain copy request (Not Certified) Please enclose a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope for all requests.

We are looking for DONATIONS of any surrounding COUNTY HISTORY BOOKS for our new library. We are also trying to complete our collection of local high school yearbooks. If you have any of these for Alliance High School, Alliance St. Agnes, or Hemingford High School please consider donating them. Please contact Becci at the above phone number or e-mail address:

MOST OF THE COUNTY RECORDS, CENSUS RECORDS, BURIAL INFORMATION, FILMS, OBITUARIES, MARRIAGE ABSTRACTS, LAND RECORDS, AND MANY, MANY BOOKS CAN BE FOUND AT THE KNIGHT MUSEUM!

1. If anyone wrote to us and never recieved an answer, please resubmit a request with a current mailing address to send things to. We are updating our files and trying to get caught up.
2. Always include a written address with a research question, it enables us to send things off in a more timely manner without the wait of recontacting the asker for where to send them.
3. All research is sent at no cost but donations are always welcome.
4. We have added the Landa Funeral Home records and the Hyannis, NE Cemetery but do not have the indexes up yet. We will have all of the Box Butte Co., Court records from 1887 to 1920 by winter.

In the Genealogy room there is a portion of the Lou Spencer Library. All area newspapers on microfilm,various Family Histories from families throughout the area, along with a fair collection of county history books for the panhandle. Also among their offerings are the Fillby's Passenger Lists.
