The Knight Museum was established in 1964 within Central Park. Since that time, a great variety of exhibits, which illustrate the history of Alliance and the surrounding areas, have been collected. There are wonderful displays which illustrate the growth of the railroad as well as the integral role that local ranch operations had in the development of Alliance. Many beautiful Native American artifacts are also displayed within the museum. Some items on display include bead and leather work, pottery, and tools. In addition to the displays, there are many cultural programs sponsored throughout the year. Visit the Knight Museum to learn more about the rich heritage of Alliance and Box Butte County. |
| Books, Catalogs, Diaries,

Becci, Rose, Cindy, Sherry and a
band of dedicated volunteers all work
hard to make sure that you get the information you need. If it is available, Becci and Rose know where to find it. Cindy is working on putting a lot of the indexes together for further research. Sherry and Rose take good care of incoming geneaology queries and have established extensive files on who is researching what families. The genealogical information gathering goes on year round, not just Christmas time. |
| There are many published works
by local and other various authors dealing with family histories and
living on the prairies of the midwest. These are just a few of some of the titles that are available. |

We also have started an ongoing
project in the community to build and maintain a Military Museum in honor of our service people. This is just one of the projects going on all the time. |
