In the Genealogy room there is a  portion of the Lou Spencer Library. All area newspapers on microfilm,various Family Histories from families throughout the area, along with a fair collection of county history books for the panhandle.  Also among their offerings are the Fillby's Passenger Lists.

The Alliance Public Library is housed in the Alliance Learning Center which was completed in 1999. The parking lot entrance is located on 18th Street at the front of the building, with a 24-hour drive-up book drop available on the back (east) side of the building off Sweetwater Avenue.
 
The one-level, handicapped accessible library boasts a large children's area, technology room, reading and study areas, outdoor reading patio, and a large multipurpose Community Room. The library has a collection of 50,000 items including audio, video, print, historical and multi-media materials.  A number of cultural and leisure programs are offered throughout the year. The Alliance Learning Center is a drug and tobacco-free facility.
