I am searching for information on my grandmother. Maiden name: Flossie Porter (may have been Florence, but we don't know). She was one of several sisters. We do know that she received a Certificate of Attainment from the Long Pine Public Schools indicating that she had successfully completed the grammar department and could go on to high school. The certificate was dated May 24, 1907. Anna B. Potter was the teacher, E. B. Gowan was the principal. She married my grandfather sometime during 1912 or 1913 I think, possibly in Omaha, NE. She died three years later and we have found her gravesite in Omaha. Any suggestions on where to continue this search would be helpful. We would like to know more about her family and if there are relatives. Thanks for your help. Karen McQueen Troy, MI April 21, 1998.
