Adrain VanVeen. The altar and communion rail which had been transferred from the brick chapel south of St. helena, have been painted a spotless white with gold trimming. During the winter months, all church services on weekdays will be held in the chapel where the members will worship before an altar over a half of a century old. This altar and communion rail was formerly in the chapel at St. Helena and four miles northwest of Wynot. It was first known as the Goldcamp Chapel named after Fred Goldcamp, pioneer schoolteacher in district 13. According to the recollections of some of the early settlers in that vicinity it is thought that the chapel and early day landmark was built by Martin Schulte about 1897 and the altar and communion rail by a man named Henneken. Addition of the new chapel will eliminate the necessity of heating the large main part of the church.
