Korth ====================================================================== JENS ANDERSON Jens Anderson was born in Denmark May 16, 1858 and died at his home in Magnet October 21, 1917 at the age of 59 years and 5 months. He was married in 1879 to Lacina Katherina Sorenson. They came to America in 1883 locating at Shelby, Iowa. They moved to Nebraska in 1891, first settling near Randolph, later moving to Magnet where he made his home for about 20 years. Beside his widow, he leaves three sons, Soren, Lloyd and Thomas, one daughter Mrs. Johanna Hill, one daughter and two sons having died in infancy. Jens was for some six years the city marshal of Magnet, resigning during the past year because of failing health. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows and loved the order, being always in attendance when his health permitted. He was a hard working man in his younger days, was economical and saving and acquired a little property in and about Magnet. The familiar figure of Jens Anderson will be seen no more in Magnet and in his passing a good, law-abiding citizen has gone to a just reward.
