BEAUDETTE Gladys Bernice Beaudette, 97, formerly of Wausa died December 29, 2004 at Heritage of Bell Air Nursing Home Norfolk. Funeral services were January 3rd at the Magnet Christian Church, Magnet. Rev. Lance Shaffer officiated with burial in the Magnet Cemetery. Gladys was born in 1907 in rural Cedar County near Magnet to Achillis and Pearl (Black) Andrews and lived in Page until age 7. After the loss of her father, she lived with her uncle and aunt Ed and Jessie Sheufelt of Carroll and then with Pearl and Henry Henrickson of Magnet. She married Alva Beaudette January 17, 1924, at Sioux City, Iowa. They farmed near McLean before moving to Magnet and Wausa areas. Four children were born to them, Twilla, Arlen, LaVonda and Terry. Survivors include her children and spouses; Twilla and Charlie Peters, Norfolk; Arlen Beaudette, Yankton SD; LaVonda and Dale Olson, Norfolk; and Terry and Darlene Beaudette, Norfolk; six grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Alva, one grandson Corey Olson, her parents; one sister and one brother.
