Korth ====================================================================== HERMAN BEHREND Funeral Services for Herman F. Behrend, 87, were held on Wednesday, February 5 at the Magnet Christian Church with Scott Brown officiating. Internment was made at the Magnet Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dale Bloomquist, Arvid Bloomquist, Dwight Bloomquist, Eldred Bloomquist, Neil Bloomquist and Alvin White. Herman, son of Fred and Anna Rohwer Behrend, was born February 14, 1898 at Randolph. He married Ethel Bloomquist Henrickson on April 2, 1947 at Dakota City. She Died in November 1980. He had farmed southwest of Magnet from 1914 until 1978 when he retired and moved to Wausa. He had resided at Colonial Manor in Randolph since December 1983. He passed away on February 1 at the Osmond Hospital. Survivors include three stepdaughters, Mrs. Dalton (Bernice) Gillilan and Mrs. Phyllis Wamberg, both of Wausa and Mrs. Allen (Mildred) Beaudette of Bloomfield, two stepsons, Glen Henrickson of Gig Harbor, Wash. and Willis Henrickson of Paw Paw, Mich.; two sisters, Alvena Behrend of Randolph and Bertha Dahl of Wausa. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister and one brother.
