Korth ====================================================================== OPAL KAY BERG Opal Kay (Sutton) Berg, 70, Omaha, died September 30, 2008 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha. Graveside services were October 4, at the Magnet Cemetery. Kay was born May 3, 1938 in Randolph to Frank and Opal (Lackas) Sutton. She grew up in Hartington where she attended grade school and graduated from Hartington High School in 1955. Kay went on to Wayne State Teachers College where she graduated in 1958 with a bachelor’s degree in education. As a young girl, Kay was active in drama and cheerleading and enjoyed spending time with her friends. Kay was a lifelong teacher, spending most of her years in the Omaha Public schools and Western Iowa. Even after her retirement in 1989, she continued to substitute teach. Kay was preceded in death by he parents, Frank and Opal and brother-in-law, Reno Pfeil. Kay is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws Scott and Sarah, and Brett and Evi, all of Omaha; four grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dave and Jeanette Sutton, Conrad, Calif., and Dan and Janet Sutton, Shelton; and Dan and Janet Sutton, Shelton; and sister, Mary Belle Pfeil, Elkhorn.
