Billerbeck, Sr. 64, a Cedar county farmer, the past 25 years and formerly an Osmond businessman, died at his farm home east of Crofton Tuesday. Death was caused by bronchial ailment. He had been ill a year. Funeral services for Mr. Billerbeck will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Constance Saturday morning at 9:30 0’clock, Rev. Otto Buehler will officiate at the requiem mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Reiferts, pallbearers will be Pete Jurgens, Gilbert Steffens, Ottman Steffen, and William Schieffer. Mr. Billerbeck is survived by his wife; eight daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Schmidt of Osmond, Miss Barabara Billerbeck of Emerson, Miss Edith Billerbeck of Madison, Miss Philomena Billerbeck of Audubon, Ia., Mrs. Florence Quady of Palm Springs, Calif., Mrs. Florence Porter of Sacramento, Calif., Lt. (j.g.) Irene Billerbeck of the USN at Astoria, Ore., and Miss Alice Billerbeck of Crofton; three sons, George R Billerbeck of Omaha, Raymond T. Billerbeck of Crofton, and Lt. Henry J. Billerbeck of Camp Crowder, Mo.; o ne brother Albert J Billerbeck of Humphrey, and 13 grandchildren. Mr. Billerbeck was born at Freeport, Ill., January 25, 1861, he moved to Nebraska with his father while still a youth, locating first at Pierce. After two years he moved to Osmond where he engaged in the hardware and implement business. Building in Osmond and served the town two terms as mayor. He retired from business 25 years ago and moved to a farm 4 miles east of Crofton. Mr. Billerbeck was married June 10, 1897 to Miss Frances Backes at Randolph. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
