Korth ====================================================================== DEATH OF S.T. BLACK Samuel T. Black died last Tuesday, the 9th at his home in Magnet, aged 64 years. For several years Mr. Black had been in poor health and for about a year was a sufferer from Bright’s disease. His last sickness was of but four days duration when the end came peacefully. S.T. Black was born August 11, 1846, in Henry County, Iowa, with his family he came to the vicinity of Randolph a number of years ago and settled on a farm. Here his family grew to maturity and he at last left the farm when his health failed and moved to Magnet. Deceased was an honorable man, a good neighbor and a kind and indulgent man in his family. This editor knew him for over ten years and always found him faithful and loyal. So far as we know, he had not an enemy in the world. He was a devoted Odd Fellow and loved the order of which he had been a member for many years. Besides his sorrowing wife, he leaves two sons and five daughters to morn, beside a host of friends. The funeral was in charge of the Magnet Odd Fellow lodge, and was held last Saturday from the Magnet church, Rev. Miller preaching the discourse.
