Korth ====================================================================== MARVIN CHRISMAN Marvin Chrisman was born in 1914, one mile north of McLean, NE. He was raised there until the depression of 1929, when his father Jesses Earl Chrisman and his wife Ona (Wilson) Chrisman, sold out and moved to Omaha, NE and then to Sioux City, IA. Marvin graduated from Wausa High school at the age of 16 then attended Morningside College and worked as a bellhop at the West Hotel. At the age of 19, Marvin moved to San Francisco where he met Ellen Olheiser and they were soon married. To this union four children were born, Gary, Tom, Gail and Barbara. In 1918, Marvin joined the Air Force and was sent to San Antonio, Texas where he learned to fly. Leaving the service Marvin found a job with Pan American Airlines as a navigator. During the war, Marvin flew military transports, ferrying troops to England and Europe. After the war, Marvin lived in Washington D.C., Magnet, NE and Grant Pass, Oregon. Marvin had remarried to Teresa O’Sullivan and two more children were added to the family, Norman and Paul. Marvin passed away on March 3, 1994 at Grant Pass, Oregon and had his ashes spread over a mountain range there.
