Korth ====================================================================== CHRISTINA CLAUSEN Christina Mathiesen was born on December 20, 1844 in Germany. She came with her family to America settling in Iowa. On September 6, 1867 she was married to Frederick Clausen. They lived in Cedar County, Iowa for 15 years and then moved to Nebraska, locating near Plainview. They then bought a farm southeast of Magnet and again moving south of Magnet and the family worked hard to make this homestead one they could be proud of. It was widely known as the Clausen Place and being a model farm for others to strive for. Christina passed away on November 9, 1906. She leaves 7 children along with her husband to mourn her passing.
