JOHN C. CLAUSEN, 61
WAS EARLY SETTLER

Funeral services for John C. Clausen were conducted at the John Wagner 
home east of Magnet last Friday, April 9, Rev. E. N. Littrell in charge. 
Burial was made in the Magnet cemetery.

John Clausen was born January 28, 1876 at Inland, IA and he passed away 
at Omaha, April 3, 1937. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred 
Clausen and lived for some years on the old home place, the Tree Claim 
south of Magnet. He has lived at Omaha for about 30 years.

John C. Clausen came to Nebraska with his parents at the age of six where 
he lived on his fathers’ farm and helped erect the buildings on what is 
known as the old Will Clausen farm where Theo still lives. Later he helped 
erect buildings on the home place two miles south of Magnet. He took pride 
in building and later worked at the trade in Omaha where he made his home 
until his death.

Deceased is survived by two sisters and one brother; Mrs. August Krohn of 
Randolph, Mrs. John Wagner and Theodore Clausen of Magnet also several 
nieces and nephews. Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
