Korth ====================================================================== MAE STELLA CLAUSEN Mae Stella Mary Englehaupt was born December 1, 1885 at Chambers, Nebraska where she grew to womanhood. Miss Engelhaupt was married to Mr. Theodore Clausen of Magnet, Nebraska, November 22, 1905 and came with him to this community where they have since made their home. Four daughters and three sons were born to grace this home, all of whom survive the mother. Mrs. Clausen had been in poor health for some time but was taken with the flu January 29. Two days later a nurse was called and every possible effort made to restore her health but of no avail. On Sunday morning, February 2, at 4:20 her spirit passed into the presence of Him who gave it and the home was bereft of a faithful wife and loving mother. Besides her husband and children, Mrs. Clausen is survived by her father and mother of Chambers Nebr. and five brothers and six sisters. The brother’s are; Mike of Sterling, Co. Newton of Mount View, Mo. William of Ft. Leavenworth, Kan. Thomas and Arthur of Chambers. The sister’s are Mrs. VanCleave in Oregon, Mrs. C. Bodwick of Fremont, NE; Mrs. H. Kestenholt of O’Neill, NE and Alice, Ollie and Violet Engelhaupt of Chambers. Mrs. Clausen was a member of the Presbyterian Church for many years and in spite of the multiplied duties of a large family she found time to engage in the activities of the M.E. church in Magnet. The funeral services were conducted in the home by a former pastor, Rev. P.D. Cox of Wausa and internment made in the Magnet cemetery.
