Korth ====================================================================== NORMA J. CLAUSSEN Norma Joy Claussen, 79, died January 14, 2005. Graveside services were January 17 at the Magnet Cemetery with Pastor Janis Soule officiating. Norma J. (Kienow) Claussen was born in Winnetoon May 15, 1925 to Willis Simon Kienow and Wilma Irene (Jones) Kienow. She attended school until the twelfth grade when she had to quit to help her father farm. Norma married Detlef J. Claussen January 20, 1946 in Bloomfield at her parents’ home. They had one child, Wenith R. (Claussen) Schmuecker. Norma was a very active outdoor person. She loved to camp and fish at Weigand. She had to give her lifestyle up in 2004 due to an accident, which caused her great health problems. Norma and Det traveled many times to Perham, Minn. to fish on the Big Pine Lake before Det died in 1985. Norma belonged to the VFW in Bloomfield. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Wenith and Dennis Schmuecker, Magnet; three grandchildren, Troy and Joy Schmuecker of Magnet and Todd Schmeucker of Lincoln; three great-grandchildren, Shannon, Colby and Trey Schmuecker; two sisters, Anita Barlow, Bloomfield and Betty Reiners, Magnet; a special niece and nephew, Bonnie and Tim Bruhn, Papillion; Special friends, Lesa Wamberg, Magnet, Sara Poelott, Lincoln; Darlene Lackas, Magnet and Betty Skalberg, Wausa and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
