Korth ====================================================================== FLORENCE CONSTABLE Mrs. Jay (Florence) Constable, 85, a longtime resident of the Randolph community, passed away Sunday, November 19 at Colonial Manor in Randolph, where she had resided a short time. Services were held on Tuesday, November 21 at 2 p.m. at the Magnet Christian Church with the Rev. Terry Bowland officiating. Burial was at the Magnet Cemetery under the direction of the Johnson Funeral Home. Florence M. daughter of William and Anna Utely Coop, was born April 11, 1904 at Magnet. On October 31, 1923 she married Jay Constable at Yankton, SD. The couple farmed in Cedar County until 1953 when they moved to Randolph. Mr. Constable was employed for Cedar County and she was employed at a cafe in Randolph for several years. The couple celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in October. Mrs. Constable was a member of the Magnet Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, Jay; three daughters, Ruth Whites of Iroquois, SD, Mrs. James (Creola) Lambing of Sioux City, Iowa and Mrs. Gary (Doris) Brant of Agency, MO; five sons, Allen of Long Beach, Dwight of Newport Beach, Ronald and Alvie of Escondido and Terry Constable of San Diego all in California; 22 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers Harold Coop of Greely, CO and Roy Coop of Apache Junction Ariz; and a sister, Grace Thomas of Eugene, Ore. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
