Korth ====================================================================== SARAH DAWSON Mrs. Leonard Dawson aged 73, died last Sunday at the home of her son, R.H. Dawson near Magnet. Sarah Speakman was born at Cincinnati, Ohio, July 7, 1845, and was married to Leonard Dawson in Ohio in August 1869. Some time after their marriage they moved to Illinois, later to Iowa, then to Missouri and finally to Nebraska. Mrs. Dawson was a quiet and amiable lady, one in whom the motherly instinct was strong and she will be sorely missed, not only by her companion of nearly 50 years and four surviving children, but by the numerous grandchildren and friends. She was a Christian lady and has gone to her reward. She leaves her husband and four children as follows: R.H. Dawson, Mrs. Ernest Halleen of Magnet, Mrs. Ed Crellin of Pender and Mrs. J.P Heishman of Belden. The funeral was held at the R.H. Dawson home on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Shoaf of Randolph preaching his remarks was based on Math. 25,21, “Well done good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things and I will make you ruler over many things. Enter thou into the joy of the Lord.” The many floral offerings spoke tenderly of the love and esteem in which she was held.
