Delozier, 88, Columbus will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 13, at McKown Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. William Effa will officiate. Graveside service will be at 2:30 Monday at the Magnet Cemetery. He died Thursday, October 9, 2003 at Columbus Community Hospital. The son of Reuben and Maggie (McLain) Delozier was born March 27, 1915 at Randolph. He attended school in Randolph. On March 27, 1937, he married Lucille VanKirk in Yankton, SD. He farmed in the Hartington and Randolph area until 1960 when the couple moved to Columbus. He then worked for Soil Movers until 1962. He then started Lyle’s surge service, running the business until 1964. He worked for A. Glen Kluck Feedlots until retirement in 1980. Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives; Donald and Nancy of Columbia, MO and Eugene and Annette of Columbus; one sister, Margaret Buckner of Lincoln; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three infant sons, two sisters and one brother.
