Korth ====================================================================== MARTHA DELOZIER Funeral services were held at Bloomfield Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Martha Jane Delozier, formerly of Magnet and mother of Paul Delozier of Randolph, who died Friday, July 6, at her home in Bloomfield after a lingering illness. Interment was made in the cemetery in Magnet. Martha Jane Niday was born March 4, 1870 at Gallipolis, Ohio. She was baptized in the Methodist faith in which she remained her entire life. When two years old she came with her parents to Nebraska settling at Union. On November 4, 1886 she was married to William E. Delozier. They made their home near Union for 14 years, moving to Thurston County where they lived six years before coming to Cedar County in 1906. They lived near Magnet until 1923 when they went to Bloomfield, which has been the family home. Mrs. Delozier was one of Bloomfield’s Gold Star Mothers of World War I. Her husband died October 12, 1925. Mrs. Delozier is survived by two daughter, Mabel and Addie of Bloomfield; five sons, Herman and George of Bloomfield; Lester of South Sioux City, Paul of Randolph, and Roy with the armed forces somewhere in the South Pacific; one brother, J.C. Niday and one sister, Mrs. Emma Davidson, both of Union; twelve grandchildren. In addition to her husband, three children preceded her in death, dying in infancy and one son Howard Cornealius, lost his life in World War I.
