Korth ====================================================================== ROBERT DODSON Funeral services were held at the Magnet Methodist church on Saturday, June 28, for Robert A. Dodson, former Magnet resident, who died June 25, in Chicago after a sudden illness. Burial was in the Magnet Cemetery. Robert A. Dodson, son of Sarah and William Dodson was born in Cahoun County, Missouri, June 15, 1873. He was one of a family of eight children, all having preceded him in death with the exception of one brother and one sister. At an early age, he was employed in the coalmines in Kansas. Coming to Magnet in 1904, he made his home with the Wm. Dodson family until 1922 and was janitor of the Magnet school for fourteen years. In 1931 he went to live with his niece, Mrs. M.R. Martin in Wausa, moving with them to Chicago in October 1936. He lived with them until 1944 and spent the remainder of his life with his nieces, Mrs. Alma Treskow and Elma Dodson. He is survived by his sister; Mrs. Jane Matthews of Joplin, Mo., brother Charles Dodson, Pittsburg, Kans., nieces and nephews; Wm. E. Dodson, Ross Dodson, James Dodson, Josephine Marsh, Millie Cunnigham, Orpha Martin, Alma Treskow, Elma Dodson. He was a member of the Ravenswood Methodist Church of Chicago.
