Korth ====================================================================== WILLIAM E. DODSON Funeral services were conducted in the Magnet Methodist Church Friday afternoon for William E. Dodson of Harvard, Illinois, and former Magnet resident. Burial was made in the Magnet Cemetery. Mr. Dodson died Monday of last week at his home at Harvard, Illinois after a lingering illness. William Edward Dodson was born October 20, 1886 at Union, where he spent his early childhood. In 1903, he moved to Magnet with his parents. He resided in Spencer two years and in June 1918, entered the service and served in France with the medical corps. He worked for a railroad company until 1926, and then farmed near Wakefield, later going to Kenosha, Wis. On April 21, 1940 he was married to Edna Weierhauser and they remained on the farm until 1950 then retired. His survivors are his wife; Edna, brother, James P. Dodson, Oakland, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Millie Cunningham Van Nuys, Calif., Mrs. M.R. Martin, Lincoln; twin sisters, Mrs. Carl Treskow and Elma Dodson of Chicago; five nieces and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ross and sister Josephine Marsh.
