Memorial services were held December 5 at St. Paul United Methodist Church Omaha. Yvonne was born September 5, 1917, the daughter of Earl “Jack” Chrisman, in Magnet. Sis and her father opened a grocery store in Magnet in 1936, with receipts the opening day being $4.74. They tested cream, candled eggs, bought chickens and had many other duties. After a few years, Jack applied for and received the first liquor license in Magnet and opened the beer joint up the street. Sis served as City Clerk for Magnet for some time, which proved valuable when she moved into the business world after leaving Magnet. After her marriage to Bob Fleury in 1940, and the arrival of Sally Jeanne in 1942, the grocery store was sold. They moved to Okoboji, Iowa, back to Magnet and then to Fremont and finally to Omaha where their daughter Cindy was born. Survivors include her daughter Cindy Fleury, grandchildren, Christine Scheef, Mike Fielding, Shea and Bob Klein, Christopher and Jessica Fleury and Jeremy Fleury; great-grandchildren, Shane Fielding and Merlin Fleury. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sally Fielding.
