Korth ====================================================================== HARLEY B. GRAVES Harley B. Graves was born November 1, 1843 in Adrian, Michigan and died at his home in Magnet, July 9, 1931, aged 87 years, 8 months, and 8 days. At the age of 8 years he moved with his parents to Fayette County, Iowa, where he enlisted as a Union soldier October 13, 1862 and honorably discharged November 3, 1865 at Sioux City. At the age of 23 he was married to Felicia Mitchell. To this union was born four children; Mrs. Fred Ashby of Meadow Grove, Frank of Magnet, Joe of Tacoma, Washington and John who died in infancy. In 1895 he and his family moved to Magnet, where he resided until his death. Mr. Graves commonly known as “Grandpa” was a good and kindly man, much loved and respected by his family, relatives and a host of friends. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, his children, 12 grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Graves was an active member of the Odd Fellows lodge and the G.A.R. post at Randolph and to these organizations he has been a faithful member.
