Korth ====================================================================== CHRIS GUNDERSON Chris W. Gunderson, resident of the Wausa and Magnet communities since 1895, died at his home in Magnet Friday at the age of 69. He had suffered a lingering illness and had been in poor health a number of years. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Methodist church in Magnet. Burial was in the Magnet Cemetery. Mr. Gunderson came as a boy to the Wausa community with his parents in 1895 and had resided there and in the Magnet community. Chris William Gunderson was born February 5, 1883 at Chicago. His parents came to Nebraska settling at Ulysses, when he was a small boy. In 1895, the family came to a farm near Wausa. He was married February 16, 1910 to Albertine Olson of Magnet. Mr. Gunderson is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Elvina Boysen of Hale, Mo., Mrs. Lillian Leiting of Randolph and Mrs. Ida June Winkelbauer of Hastings; two sons, Marvin of McLean and Carroll of Minneapolis; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Wilkins of New York, Mrs. Hulda Larson of Valley, and Mrs. Mable Buller of Columbus; three brothers Fred of Randolph, Harry of Valley and Frank of Bellwood; six grandchildren. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
