Korth ====================================================================== MABEL HALLEEN Funeral services were held Saturday May 16th for Mabel Halleen, formerly of Madison, SD. She was buried in the Magnet Cemetery. Mabel Margarethe Halleen was born in Leigh, Nebraska on July 3, 1897, the daughter of Carsten and Marie Hansen. She attended school in Bloomfield and was confirmed in St, Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bloomfield in 1915. She was married to Walter P. Halleen on October 26, 1917. He passed away in 1975. She has resided in the Good Samaritan Center in Bloomfield for the past six years. Mabel owned a beauty shop in Bloomfield and later in Norfolk. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star of Wausa. Mabel is survived by a daughter, Jerene Binkerd of Phoenix, Ariz., and Shirley Johnson of Lincoln; one grandson and a sister-in-law, Neta Hansen and several nieces and nephews and friends.
