Korth ====================================================================== ANNA JONES Anna Jane Black was born in Trenton, IA on May 13, 1889 to Samuel and Lucy (Tedro) Black. She moved to the Randolph area in 1891 and then to Magnet. She attended Magnet school and graduated in the first Annual Commencement Exercises in 1906. She attended Wayne State College and taught in the Magnet Primary School System. Anna married Carl Gifford Jones in October 1911, to this marriage three daughters were born, Cleola, Wilma and Flo. They lived in the Magnet and Bloomfield area and finally moved to Prosser, NE, in 1937 where they started a grocery store business until their retirement in 1945. At that time they moved to Norfolk, NE, where Carl passed away on September 7, 1947. Anna remained in Norfolk until moving to Hastings, NE in the early 1960’s where she resided until her death on September 2, 1972. Beside her husband, her daughter Wilma preceded her in death. Burial was made at the Magnet cemetery beside her husband Carl.
