Korth ====================================================================== MARY ALICE JONES Funeral services were held Saturday June 14, in the Magnet Methodist Church for Mrs. Richard Jones, 47, prominent Magnet woman, who died June 11 in a Norfolk hospital, where she had been a patient for three weeks. Interment was at Magnet. Mrs. Jones had lived in Magnet for a number of years. She was the mother of Jack Jones, only Magnet youth to lose his life in World War II, who was lost in the Pacific on a plane flight October 16, 1943. Mary Alice Cable, daughter of Edward and Lucille Cable was born December 31, 1899 at Shenandoah, Iowa. On December 9, 1919, she was married at Sioux City, IA to Richard A Jones of Magnet. Early in life she united with the Methodist church and was an active church worker. She is survived by her husband Richard; two daughters; Mrs. Walter Heln of West Alexandria, Ohio, and Mrs. Milan Furlong of Tenino, Wash; two sisters, Mrs. Albert McKinney of Marshfield, Mo., and Mrs. Grace Keroher of Los Angeles, Calif.; one brother Thomas Cable of New York; two grandchildren.
