Korth ====================================================================== MALVIN JONES Malvin Jones died Wednesday morning, February 3rd and final rites were held the following Saturday in the Magnet United Methodist Church. Malvin J. Jones, son of Walter and Pearl Jones, was born at Magnet on January 18, 1907 and passed away at his home on February 8, 1971 at the age of 64 years and 16 days. He was raised in Magnet and attended school there and at Bloomfield. On March 29, 1930, he was united in marriage to Laura Nichols in the Episcopalian parsonage at Yankton, SD. He was baptized into the Methodist Church by his brother, Rev. Lowell Jones at Neligh. In 1936, Malvin and Laura moved to California where they resided for twenty two years, returning to Magnet in June 1958. He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to mourn his passing wife, Laura and two sisters.
