Korth ====================================================================== PEARL JONES Funeral services were held in the Magnet Methodist Church Wednesday, October 25, 2:00 p.m. for Mrs. Walter Jones who died the previous Monday at the age of 74 years. Pearl May Black was born November 14, 1886 at Mount Pleasant, Iowa, the daughter of Samuel and Lucy Black. As a small child she moved with her parents to the Randolph area. She was married to Walter Jones on February 25, 1906 in Magnet. Mr. and Mrs. Jones lived for many years in the Bloomfield-Crofton area. They also lived in Central City and Edison, Nebraska. They retired in 1949 and made their home in Magnet since that time. They celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in 1956. Society of Christian Service. She passed away at her home October 23, 1961. She is survived by her husband, seven children, Malvin of Magnet, Lowell of Geneva, Margaret McFarland, Mary Joachimsen and Doyle of Hartington, Willis of McCook and Earl of Wausa, twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends.
