Korth ====================================================================== RICHARD JONES JR Richard Jones was born to Dick and Mary (Douge) Jones at Union, NE on October 1, 1895. The family moved to a farm south of Magnet in 1902 where his father managed the grain elevator. Richard graduated from Magnet High School and after returning from the war in 1919 he married Alice Cable at Sioux City, Iowa. Three children were born to this union, Jack in 1920, Lorna in 1921 and Nellie Maree in 1926. Richard and Alice lived at McLean, Magnet and Emporia, Kansas. After Alice passed away in 1947, Richard managed the Crowell Elevator at Magnet until it burned down in 1967. At this time he moved to Washington to be near his daughter, he passed away on June 30, 1972 and is buried beside his wife at the Magnet Cemetery.
