Korth ====================================================================== ROBERT EARL JONES Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at The Methodist Church in Magnet for Robert Earl Jones, 74, who died March 19, after a long illness. Robert Earl Jones was born April 19, 1888 at Union to Richard E. and Mary A. Jones. He spent his boyhood there until the family moved to a farm at Magnet when he was about 14 years of age. In 1907 he was married to Allona Kopp and the couple farmed around Magnet for five years before moving to Bloomfield where they resided for 20 years. They then moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where they resided from 1936 to 1953, returning at that time to Magnet where they continued to reside. Survivors include his widow, Allona; three sons, Alva of Sioux City, IA, Edward of Omaha and Garland of California; three brothers, George, Richard and Walter, all of Magnet; two sisters, Maree Yaryan of Fresno, Calif.; and Nellie Freeman of Fremont; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, one son, Forrest in services with the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II; one brother, Carl G. Jones.
