Korth ====================================================================== WALTER L. JONES Funeral services for Walter L. Jones, 86, were held Saturday February 1, 1969 at the Methodist Church at Magnet. Mr. Jones passed away January 30th at the Osmond Community Hospital where he had been a resident for three and one-half years. Walter L. Jones, son of Richard E. and Mary Douge Jones, was born at Union, Nebraska, Cass County on January 11, 1883. The family moved to Magnet about 1900 where he and Pearl Black were married February 25, 1906. They farmed in the Magnet, Crofton and Bloomfield communities until their retirement from the farm in 1945. They lived for a short time in Central City and Edison, Nebraska before returning to Magnet in 1949 to make their home. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary February 25, 1956. Mrs. Jones passed away October 23, 1961. Survivors are seven children; Malvin of Magnet, Lowell of Columbus; Margaret McFarland of Hartington, Willis of McCook, Mrs. Wilbur (Mary) Joachimson of Hartington, Doyle of Bloomfield and Earl of Creighton.
