He had been seriously ill a week. Funeral services for Mr. Jordan will be held Friday afternoon, December 7, at the First congregational Church in Hartington at 2 0’clock. Rev James Warn will officiate. Burial will be in the city cemetery under the direction of the Smith- Wintz Funeral Home. Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, two sons, Vernon of Sioux City and Elmo of Randolph, a daughter, Mrs. Bob (Irene) Anderson of Randolph and brother Ray Jordan of Hartington, and seven grandchildren. Two sisters, Millie and Mrs. Eva Fiscus, preceded him in death. Mr. Jordan was born February 16, 1896, at Gray , Iowa, the son of Jess and Elizabeth Jordan. He came to Cedar county with his parents in 1899. He was married to Nellie Eggers, February 21, 1917, at Hartington. Mr. Jordan was a member of the school board of District 97 for 20 years.
