HARRY JOY

Funeral services for Harry V. Joy, 71, of Magnet were held on Saturday, 
May 8 at the United Methodist Church in Magnet. Burial was made in the 
Magnet Cemetery.

Mr. Joy passed away Wednesday morning at the Osmond hospital.

Harry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Joy,

was born September 8, 1899 at Botavia, IA. He was a retired farmer and 
carpenter and had made his home in Sioux City, Iowa, Cedro Woolie, 
Washington and Laurel before settling in Magnet. Harry and his wife 
raised cows and sold milk when they lived in Laurel. They had a truck 
called the Joy’s Dairy Truck.

Survivors include one son, Vernon of Macomb, Illinois; his mother, Mrs. 
Charlotte Quinn of Marshalltown, Iowa and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife and father.
