Korth ====================================================================== GOLDIE KOEHLER Services for Goldie Koehler, 97, McLean will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home here with burial in the Magnet Cemetery. She died Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at Osmond General Hospital. Goldie Koehler was born August 6, 1908 at Uehling, the only child of Henry and Pearl (Slack) Koehler. They moved from the farm close to Uehling in 1914 to a farm near McLean. They resided on this farm until 1929 when they moved into McLean. Goldie attended the Sunny Side School, rural McLean. Henry, her father, died in 1932 and Goldie continued to live with her mother. Goldie accepted Christ in her life as a young girl and kept the faith until she died. She worked for years as a telephone operator until that job was discontinued and later she worked at the Osmond General Hospital as a nurse’s aide until she retired in 1978. Pearl, Goldie’s mother died in 1985 and Goldie continued living in her parents’ home until 1998 when she entered Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Randolph. In 1999, she moved to Randolph Haven Apartments and in 2004 she re-entered Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She entered Osmond General Hospital on December 29, 2005 until her death. Pearl is survived by many relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
