Lackas, 84, of Magnet were held Tuesday morning at the Christian church in Magnet. He died at his home in Magnet, Saturday, February 3rd.Internment was in the Magnet cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Peter R. Lackas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Lackas, was born November 4, 1883 at Keota, IA. He married Belle Manzer at Hartington April 28, 1904. He was a retired farmer and he had been a resident of the Magnet community since he was a boy. Mr. and Mrs. Lackas celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1964. Survivors are his wife, Belle, two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Alda) Dawson of Osmond and Mrs. Frank (Opal) Sutton of Hartington; a brother, Mat of Belden; five sisters, Miss Minnie Lackas of Randolph, Mrs. Elizabeth Dittman of Belden, Mrs. Anna Fox of Kearney, Mrs, Rosalie Deardorff of Pasadena, Calif. And Mrs. Margaret Junge of Cheyenne, Wyo., five grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
