Korth ====================================================================== BILLIE LEVY Services for Billie B. (Clausen) Levy, 71, formerly of the Hartington and Magnet area, will be at 10 a.m. Friday December 15, at the Howser- Filmer Mortuary in Norfolk. Burial will be in Magnet. She died Saturday, December 9, 2000 at her home in Las Vegas. The daughter of Owen McFarland and Alma Clausen of Randolph was born August 24, 1929. She was raised by her aunt Clara (Clausen) Evans, residing with her family on a farm at Hartington until moving to Fullerton, Calif., to live with her mother at the age of 10. She graduated from high school and college with honors, later receiving a master’s degree in art from San Francisco State College. She was the recipient of numerous awards for her sculptures. In 1950, she married Melvin Levy. The couple moved to Santa Barbara, where her husband attended college. After 1965, she worked as a technical writer for firms in Santa Clara, Calif. She retired in 1998 and moved to Las Vegas to be near her son. Mrs. Levy was a member of Oakland’s Ski Club and was responsible for the organization of several intramural races and downhill races. Survivors include her former husband of Windsor, Calif., one daughter, Marcia Levy of Boulder Creek, Co., three sons Brian of Vancouver, Wash., Adam of Las Vegas and Evan of San Diego, Calif.; and her mother, Alma Jarvis of Anaheim, California.
