Korth ====================================================================== DORA LONG Funeral services were held here from the Presbyterian church on Tuesday morning, July 5th, for Mrs. Frank Long of Magnet, a former Randolph resident who died Wednesday, June 29th at her home in Magnet. Mrs. Long had been ill for some time and an invalid for over a year. Mrs. Long was a member of a family that was early settlers in this community. Dora M. Voigt was born in Wisconsin on February 19, 1883. While still a young girl, she moved with her family to a new home in Scribner, Nebr. and later to the Randolph vicinity. She was married to Jake Brandt. Later, on May 27, 1904, she was married to J.F. Long. They resided in Randolph and other parts of northeast Nebraska until in 1931 when they moved to Florida. A few years ago they returned to Nebraska and for at least three years had lived in the Magnet community. Mrs. Long is survived by her widower J.F. Long; three sons, Ed Brandt of Atkinson, William long of Magnet, John Long of Hillsboro, Ore.; four daughters, Mrs. Ida McDonough of Omaha, Mrs. Minnie Cochran of Clewiston, Fla., Mrs. Ella Hoperich and Mrs. Georgia Tibbetts of Padokee, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Idler, Ventura, Calif., and Mrs. Minnie Beeman, Posford, Minn., half brother Ferd Gerkins of Randolph; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters.
