She was one of the early settlers of Cedar County settling with her husband nime miles north of Laurel more than forty years ago. They had lived recently in Missouri but had returned to their own home shortly before the death. Her early home was in Pennslyvania where she was born March 14, 1842. She passed away on May 4th and leaves to mourn a husband and eight children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The children are Mrs. William Brandow of this city; Homer Montgomery of Harrison, Rollin of Wakefileld, Randal of Grand Forks, MN, Todd and Will of Laurel, Mrs. Edith Stiles of Hemingford, and Mrs. Nora Miner of Okamia, SD.
