Korth ====================================================================== ANNA NELSON Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Nelson, who died November 11, were held Thursday at 2:00 in the Church of Christ at Magnet. Anna Helena Nelson, the oldest daughter of Algot and Christina Johnson was born September 16, 1876 in Smaland, Sweden and died in Oakland, Nebraska, November, 11 at 92 years of age. She arrived in Shenandoah, Iowa in 1892 and also lived in Omaha. She later retuned to Sweden for a visit and brought her youngest sister back with her. She was married September 26, 1902 to Charles M. Nelson of Shenandoah and four children were born to them. In March 1913, the family moved to Randolph where Mr. Nelson farmed for many years. Following the death of her husband in 1935, Mrs. Nelson moved to Magnet. Since 1956 she has made her home with her daughters. Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Church of Christ of Magnet and to its women’s group the King’s Daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Roy and a sister Nellie Ecklund. She is survived by three children; Edna, Mrs. Phillip Axelson of Oakland, Hilma, Mrs. Rene Remmers of Melvin, Iowa and Col. Harry Nelson of Aurora, Colorado, ten grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a sister Hilma, Mrs. John Holmberg of Brunswick, Missouri, a half brother George and a half sister Ruth in Sweden and many nieces and nephews.
