Korth ====================================================================== MARY NELSON Mrs. Mary Nelson, a long time resident of the Randolph community, passed away on Friday, April 25 at the Osmond Hospital. Funeral services were held on Tuesday April 29 at the United Methodist Church. Internment was in the Magnet Cemetery. Mary, daughter of George and Alice Shaw Bryan was born November 12, 1895 at Sycamore, IL. She was graduated from De Kalb Normal College in Illinois in 1914 and taught at Oak Park, IL, a suburb of Chicago. On December 29, 1919 she was married to Clayton Collier at Sycamore. The couple moved to a farm near Randolph where they lived until Mr. Collier’s death on December 12, 1939, after which she moved into Randolph. On January 30, 1955 she was married to Alfred Nelson. He passed away April 20, 1961. Mrs. Nelson had resided at Colonial Manor since 1977. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. LaVern (Ruth Ellen) Truby of Randolph, two stepsons, Donald Nelson of Wilmington, Delaware and Richard Nelson of Los Gatos, Calif., 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husbands, a sister preceded her in death.
