Korth ====================================================================== ROY W. NELSON Funeral services for Roy W. Nelson, 62, of Norfolk were held Monday afternoon at the Church of Christ at Magnet. Burial was at the Magnet Cemetery. Mr. Nelson was found dead by relatives in the garage of his home Thursday evening October 31. The Madison County Coroner and Attorney Milton Ellwood said there was evidence that he had apparently taken his own life. His health had been poor for some time. Born December 13, 1906 at Shenandoah, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nelson, he moved to the Magnet area 55 years ago. He farmed near Magnet until moving to Norfolk about a year ago. Survivors include his wife the former Ethel Lackas of Norfolk; three children John of Vanadium, N. Mex., Stewart of Norfolk and Mrs. Marilyn Arnold of David City; his mother Mrs. Anna Nelson of Malvern, Iowa; one brother Col. Harry Nelson of Denver, CO, two sisters, Mrs. Phil Axelson of Oakland and Mrs. Rene Remmers of Malvern, Iowa; eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
