Korth ====================================================================== WARREN NELSON Warren G. Nelson, 81, died April 14, 2005 at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Norfolk. Services were April 18 at Westridge United Methodist Church in Norfolk. Interment was at the Magnet Cemetery with Military Rites by the American Legion. Warren G. Nelson son of Nels and Anna (Mundt) Nelson was born August 5, 1923 at Bloomfield. He attended Bloomfield County School through the eighth grade. He farmed in the Wausa and Bloomfield area with his parents and then enlisted with the military. After the service he married Delores Long, June 1 1947, at her parents home in Magnet. The couple lived in the Wausa area. Warren was a trucker. They moved to Sutherland, Iowa where Warren worked for Gus Jalas and back to the Randolph area and farmed. They had a large dairy and farmed for many years. They moved to Norfolk in March of 1986. he has been a resident of St. Joseph Nursing Home since March of 2005. Survivors include his wife Delores, Norfolk; four daughters and their husbands, Connie and Arnie Andree, South Sioux City; Barb and Merle Jalas, Sutherland, Iowa; Kathy and Jeff Morita, Norfolk; Jolene and Kirk Daws, battle Creek, Iowa; three sons and their spouses, David and Mary Nelson, Omaha; Roger and Dawn Nelson, Las Vegas, Nev.; Randy and Mary Nelson, Lincoln; 12 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Robert Nelson who died in Vietnam, one daughter Bonnie who died in infancy and his brother Albert Nelson.
